About This Campaign
Access to safe drinking water and basic hygiene is the foundation of human health and the first defense against preventable illness in children. Yet across drought-stricken, underserved, or crisis-affected regions, many families still struggle every day to reach clean, drinkable water.
Clean water access cannot be solved with a single approach everywhere; the right solution depends on local realities. While drilling a water well is the lasting answer in some rural areas, other communities need water treatment and filtration systems for contaminated sources, storage tanks where supply is intermittent, water trucking in crisis zones where infrastructure is damaged, or household filters and safe storage containers.
Organized by Donation Center as a global water programme, this campaign funds new water wells, filtration and storage systems, rehabilitation of broken water points, emergency water transport, and household hygiene kits based on local needs assessments. Projects are implemented in coordination with experienced field partners and technical teams.
