About This Campaign

A metropolis on the scale of Istanbul—bridging continents, empires, and centuries of daily life—cannot be captured in a single generic sightseeing list. Depending on what a traveler or resident is looking for, Istanbul offers entirely different journeys: exploring imperial mosques and multi-faith heritage across the Historic Peninsula, Eyüpsultan, Balat, and Üsküdar; taking a public ferry along the Bosphorus and walking its green groves; discovering multi-generational tradesmen restaurants and street food; shopping for authentic spices, Turkish delight, and crafts in historic bazaars; or getting to know the people and living neighborhood culture of the city.

The HalalVera Istanbul City Guide organizes this richness under one flagship city campaign divided into five thematic discovery tracks. Every route connects walking and transit times, visiting etiquette, and cultural context with thoroughly reviewed dining, rest, and shopping stops along the way—so visitors on any route can immediately filter venues and local products according to their personal preferences.

This ongoing program funds comprehensive discovery routes across Istanbul’s core districts (Historic Peninsula, Bosphorus Shoreline, Beyoğlu–Karaköy–Balat, and Üsküdar–Kadıköy), reviewed dining venues, local product and bazaar dossiers, and neighborhood life guides—published free of charge in Turkish, English, Arabic, and Russian on halalvera.com.
